A long-acting amylin analog studied for appetite suppression and gastric control.
TR8CE uses one simple standard: 0.1 mL of bacteriostatic water per mg. A 5 mg vial takes 0.5 mL of water for a clean 10 mg/mL solution. Larger vials scale the water up to fit the glass.
| Vial size | BAC water | Concentration | 0.25 mg draws to |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 mg | 0.5 mL | 10 mg/mL | 2.5 units |
| 10 mg | 1 mL | 10 mg/mL | 2.5 units |
Units are shown for a U-100 insulin syringe. A common starting dose is 0.25 mg. At 10 mg/mL, that draws to 2.5 units on a U-100 insulin syringe.
Acts as a dual amylin and calcitonin receptor agonist in hypothalamic feeding centers. This suppresses appetite and slows gastric emptying.
Cagrilintide is commonly taken in the morning.
Add 0.5 mL of bacteriostatic water to a 5 mg Cagrilintide vial for a 10 mg/mL solution.
A common Cagrilintide starting dose is 0.25 mg, which at 10 mg/mL draws to 2.5 units on a U-100 insulin syringe.
Draw bacteriostatic water into a syringe, inject it slowly down the inside glass of the Cagrilintide vial (not onto the powder), and swirl gently until clear. Store refrigerated and use within the common window.
